Animal Waste Storage Facility

Animal waste can include manure, milk house wash water, etc. These products can be valuable resources, but cannot always be spread on land throughout the year for proper disposal (too wet, frozen/snow covered, crops in the field). Storage facilities are designed to have enough storage capacity to hold waste until weather/ground conditions permit. Storage facilities may be wooden or concrete and with or without roofs. Facilities without roofs require an additional settling basin, lagoon, filtering wetland or grass strip, etc.
