Roof Run-off

Roof water can create erosion along the foundations of buildings. In order to prevent damage, a structure that will collect, control and convey precipitation run-off from a roof should be installed whether through gutters and downspouts or trench gutters. Trench gutter designs can use a rock filled trench with a tile to convey the roof run-off water to a stable location. Roof run-off is usually paired with other practices: animal waste facilities including composters, hoop houses, and heavy use pads if located next to a building.
